The Wake - May 25 to June 2, 2006
Eding arrived in Baybay from Switzerland on the 24th of May 2006 at 7:20 PM. Unfortunately, Mama died the same day at 12:00 noon. In the next few days, the rest of the clan arrived to pay their last respect to Mama Conching (Inday & Luz from Ludlow, Massachusetts - Boy from Germany - Nene, Bibot, Marilou, & Teniong from Canada - Yvette from London).
The day started with prayers for Mama Conching. Lunch was then served to those who attended. The interment was at 3:30 pm at Baybay parish and then followed by a parade to the Baybay Cemetery. Dinner was then served to those who attended.
Guinsaugon, Southern Leyte - June 4, 2006
While Boy, Bibot, & family left for Dumaguete, the rest of the clan went to visit the in-laws of Inday in Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte. We took the opportunity to visit the disaster area in Guinsaugon. We ended the day with a mass at the parish church of Fr. Nono in Padre Burgos.
The next day we all left for Dumaguete to visit Boy and Alma. After our stay in Dumaguete, the group separated. Inday Nanding, Nene, Luz, Yvette, Inday Teniong & Kayla went to Bohol while the rest of the group went back to Baybay via Cebu. Boy and Alma departed for Germany the following day while Bibot and Cely went to Bacolod.
Our last couple of days were spent in Bunga. The group who went to Bohol arrived and we had lunch together in Bunga. Pare Noni Cabal invited us for dinner at his place.
Our Departure via Cebu and Singapore - June 10-11, 2006
We travelled to Cebu one day before our departure back to Zurich via Singapore. In Cebu, we stayed with Chito and family.
